Acknowledgement and Acceptance of Terms

The foregoing privacy policy relates to the Torrential, Inc. ("Torrential") web site (the “Site”). This Privacy Statement sets forth our current privacy practices with regard to the information we collect when you or your computer/smartphone/tablet interacts with the Site. By accessing the Site, you acknowledge and fully understand Torrential’s Privacy Statement and freely consent to the information collection and use practices described in this Site Privacy Statement.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

Torrential collects certain information from and about its users on the Site in three ways: directly from Web Server logs, with Cookies and from users of the Site.

Some of our computer/smartphone/tablet services, including browsers and mobile apps, may be supported via advertising, and collect data to help our computer/smartphone/tablet services serve ads. We may use cookies to deliver content, including ads, relevant to your interests on our computer/smartphone/tablet services and third-party sites based on how you interact with our advertisements or content. We may work with analytics companies to help us understand how the online service is being used, such as the frequency and duration of usage. We may work with advertisers, who need to know how you interact with advertising provided in our computer/smartphone/tablet services which helps us keep the cost of our computer/smartphone/tablet services low or free. Web Server Logs

When you visit the Site, we may track information to administer the Site and analyze its usage. Examples of information we may track include:

    Users Visitors of the Site can request information from Torrential and/or contact Torrential through email. When you contact us and/or request information, we will collect your email address and any other information you choose to provide to Torrential in your email communications. The types of personal information that may be provided to us includes name, address, email address, telephone number and/or facsimile number.

    We will not disclose personally identifiable information we collect from you to third parties without your permission except to the extent necessary including:

  • To protect ourselves from liability,

  • Use of Web Beacons or GIF Files

    The Site’s Web pages may contain electronic images known as Web beacons – sometimes also called single-pixel gifs – that allow us to count users who have visited those pages and to deliver co-branded services. We may include Web beacons in promotional e-mail messages or newsletters in order to determine whether messages have been opened and acted upon. Some of these Web beacons may be placed by third party service providers to help determine the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns or email communications. These Web beacons may be used by these service providers to place a persistent cookie on your computer/smartphone/tablet. This allows the service provider to recognize your computer/smartphone/tablet each time you visit certain pages or emails and compile anonymous information in relation to those page views, which in turn enables us and our service providers to learn which advertisements and emails bring you to our website and how you use the site.     Note that the effect of opting out of the use of cookies and interest-based advertising means that customized advertising will not be delivered to you.     • Opt out of location data – Go to “settings” on your mobile device to opt out of the collection of location data.

    Torrential has the discretion to update this privacy statement at any time. When we do, we will also revise the “updated” date at the top of this Privacy page. We encourage you to periodically review this privacy statement to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect.
